What is our individual responsibility?
Our society is structured to deflect responsibility from individuals. Corporations are designed specifically so that no individual can be held responsible for the actions of the group. As employees, we simply do the jobs we need to do to survive. We don’t think we can be held responsible for the final outcome of our actions.
Sometimes people have no options in life. It is a sad fact. Sometimes the opportunity to take responsibility is limited, and this is a sign that one is already a victim.
Our responsibility is to do what we can do. In any situation, it is possible at least to think. Then we can discuss. Changes can be small or large. Sometimes we have to work a little harder, but the work is worth it.
Remember, relax, you don’t have to do everything yourself.
